Word of welcome from KOMM MIT
Dear football fans from all over the world, on behalf of KOMM MIT gemeinnützige Gesellschaft für internationale Jugend-, Sport- und Kulturbegegnungen mbH, I would like to cordially welcome you and present our kick-off tournament to a unique range of tournaments “ALLtogether European youth football festival”. From July 12 – 17, 2010, 53 teams of the U13 age group of the national associations affiliated to UEFA will meet in Linz, Austria for an international youth football tournament. The participants are supposed to get to know about foreign cultures, mentalities and habits. We are laying the foundation here for our range of tournaments to which we will invite the same teams up to and including 2016 so that they can grow up together as Europeans. Football which is our common passion is our means of communication and it unites beyond all country, cultural and social barriers. In and with the club, players from different backgrounds and skin colour learn about tolerance, team work, responsibility, the ability to deal with conflict and reach a consensus from the time they are young. These qualities are important when dealing with others on a day-to-day basis as well as for understanding on a European and international level respectively.
With our “ALLtogether-European youth football festival” range of tournaments about intercultural exchange we hope that we have contributed to the European shared ideal and international understanding. At this point, we would like to thank UEFA and UNCEF (A) for assuming sponsorship as well as the Austrian and Upper Austrian football club and the City of Linz for their support. Our special gratitude goes to all friends and supporters of youth football who are involved in (football) youth work and are hence not only contributing significantly to sports and above all things the personal development of children and the youth, but also to the success of our youth football encounters.
Yours sincerely
Karlheinz Reinartz
